Anticipation of Impact

I think that we all dangle on a thread. A simple, single strand that could snap at any moment to send us flying. Or falling.

A philosopher once said many years ago that the burdens of life can be lightened to such a degree that, when the thread snaps, we would fly.

The bearable lightness of being.
